Our Next Meeting

Prior to the meeting we will meet for brunch at Shaw's Hamburgers, 1057 West Magnolia Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76104, 817•926•2116. We will meet for brunch at 12:30 PM to be sure there is enough time to eat before heading to the meeting.

We will meet at Club Reflection at 2:30 PM for our club meeting.

Stick around after the cook out for the PWA Benefit Show at Club Reflection, 8:00 PM, on Sunday evening, May 6, 2012.

TRB Bear Meat Cook Out!

On Sunday, May 6, 2012, the Trinity River Bears will cook bear meat on a stick at Club Reflection from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Enjoy a grilled "bear meat on a stick, " including some chips, for just $3. We'll have some mustards available to suit your taste!

Who Are We?

The Trinity River Bears is a social organization providing bears and bear admirers a chance to meet and enjoy time together in a variety of environments and social situations. Formed in the late 1990s, the club has an average membership of about 20 individuals. We are proud to be an active supporting member of the Texas Conference of Clubs.

Where Are We?

We are located in Fort Worth, Texas. We also have active members from Dallas, Granbury, Mesquite, and other parts of the Metroplex [the greater Dallas - Fort Worth metropolitan area].

Our in-town activities are centered around the Fort Worth area.

Our out-of-town activities are held at the Texas Conference of Clubs land site near Cameron, Texas.

What We Do

The Trinity Rivers Bears participate in a variety of activities in the Fort Worth Metroplex and in other areas in the State of Texas. A few of the activities in which we participate include:

Feast Camp Out

Each year the Trinity River Bears hold a camping event at the Texas Conference of Clubs, located near the city of Cameron, Texas. The main focus of the camp out is a relaxed weekend of great camaraderie and fantastic food in the woods.

Be sure to check back on our web site for more information about the camp out. We're making some changes to the camp out for next year. A poster for the next camp out will be added to the page just as soon as we've worked out the details.

LVLPWA Camp Out

Many of our members are actively involved in assisting with the May and September LVLPWA camp outs at the Texas Conference of Clubs. The LVL PWA Camp Outs are for gay men living with HIV-AIDS. There is a mix of HIV positive and negative individuals who may be campers, volunteers, sponsors, partners of or friends of campers who are living with HIV-AIDS.

Campers come from many cities in Texas, and there is a large group from the Metroplex who attend the camp outs in May and September. The camp out is a valuable networking tool for those living with HIV-AIDS in the Metroplex, as well as the rest of Texas.

PWA Holiday Charities in Houston sponsors the camp out, raising money through fund raisers in the Metroplex and Houston and contributions through their web site. TCC donates the use of the camp site for the two events. Many Trinity River Bear members help during the camp outs, assisting with things like coordinating the camp out, food preparation, registration and lining up rides for those who need them.

Wall of Food

Beginning Wednesday, July 20, 2011, the Trinity River Bears will join other clubs in the Fort Worth area in the "Battle of the Orgs" to help the Wall of Food show, coordinated by Rhonda Mae, at Changes on Lancaster. The Trinity River Bears will be the host club the third Wednesday of every month.

Come out and help TRB and Rhonda Mae raise some money for a great cause!

We are proud to be involved with the efforts of Rhonda Mae and the Wall of Food show. Every penny that is raised goes directly toward the purchase of food for the AOC food pantry.
